Jason Day shoots 7-under 63 Round 1 Wells Fargo 2022

In the opening round of the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship, Jason Day turned in a 7-under 63, placing him one stroke ahead of the field heading into Friday. Two-time FedExCup winner Rory McIlroy headlines the field as he looks to defend his title from last season. The Northern Irishman will be hoping to continue where he left off after firing a final-round 64 at the Masters. Last year’s runner up, Abraham Ancer will be aiming to emulate previous performances as he returns to an event and golf course (shares the course record) where he has displayed strong form.
